  • PHOTO LOGISTICS
How do I send you the photos?
You have three options for sending the pictures:
Mail a CD with the digital images to Fusion Photographs.
Upload your digital photographs directly to Fusion Photographs website: www.fusionphotographs.com.
Mail the photographic prints to Fusion Photographs. A fee will be added for scanning the photographic prints.

Can I send you "real" photographs or do they have to be digital?
We can accept either real photographic prints or digital prints. A $1 per picture fee will be charged for scanning "real" photographs.

Do I get my photos back?
If you want, we will mail the CD or photograph prints back to you. However, we cannot accept responsibility for prints that are lost or damaged. If requested we will register, track, and insure the mail. We will add the additional shipping and handling charges to the purchase cost.

What is the minimum number of pictures required to create a Fusion Photograph?
At least 100 pictures will produce a stunning and beautiful result. 100 to 600 pictures is a good target.

    Will you repeat pictures?
Yes, unless you supply several thousand pictures. Since a standard Fusion Photograph has around 40 tiles across by 50 tiles high, it would require 2000 unique pictures to avoid any repeats. However, we are careful not to repeat pictures too close to one another.

How long does the process take from when I send the pictures to when I receive the Fusion Photograph print?
Please allow for 3 weeks from the date we receive your pictures. Rush orders are available upon request.

What are my payment options? How much do Fusion Photographs cost?
We accept cash, check, and credit cards. Please contact Fusion Photographs for a price quote.

Who will print the final Fusion Photograph?
Fusion Photographs will provide printing services. We take pride in producing high quality main images. We make it easy for you; we mail you the final picture.

    MAIN IMAGE
How do I choose the main photograph I want to use for my Fusion Photograph?
There are several guidelines we suggest for choosing the main image:
Very fine details do not show up well in the finished print. Therefore, if you squint while looking at the picture you are considering for the main image and you are still able to recognize the picture, it is likely a good main image.
Faces should be close together in the picture.
It is best to limit the picture to no more than 2 faces as more faces may add too many fine details.
it is most important to pick a print where the objects in the foreground (i.e. people’s faces) are clear.
We usually crop the main image to zoom in on the subject’s face to highlight the details.
Finally, we can work with you to assist in picking a good main photograph.

How do I identify the main photograph when I send you the photos?
If you are uploading the files digitally or sending a CD with digital pictures, please email us the file name of the main image.
If you are sending prints, please tape a note to the photograph you want us to use as the main image.
If you have several images or photographs that you are considering for the main image, please let us which images you are considering and we will choose the best picture for the main image.

    FINAL IMAGE
Do I get to see a draft of the fusion photograph before I receive the final copy?
We will email you a proof of the Fusion Photograph before we send the final copy. If you want any changes to the Fusion Photograph, please let us know within 5 days of receiving the proof and we will make the changes. If we do not hear a response, we will print and mail the final copy.

What is the quality of the finished fusion photograph?
The final product is a photographic quality print on high quality photographic paper. It has the same look and feel as a real photographic print. We currently print the final picture at 330 DPI.

    OTHER
Can I change the main image after the final draft?
We are committed to our customer satisfaction with our products. However, it requires a great deal of time to create each Fusion Photograph. If you want to change the main image after the final draft, we will have to charge a reprocessing fee because this will require more work for the Fusion Photograph team to create a new one.

How do I get reprints made?
Reprints are available. Please contact Fusion Photographs for details.

Can I have the original picture placed in the lower corner of the Fusion Photograph?
    Yes!

Can you include some text below the Fusion Photograph (ie. Happy 50th Anniversary, the date, the married couple's names)?
Yes! Please contact us if you would like to discuss options or see past examples.

Will you use all of the pictures I give you?
We usually can do this and will do our best effort. However, if you submit several thousand pictures, not every picture will be used.

Do you change the color of the smaller pictures?
We sometimes have to adjust slightly the color of the smaller pictures to improve the quality of the overall image. In these cases, we try our best to make the color changes to be subtle and non-obvious.

What resolution, size, DPI (dots per inch) and file format do you need for the digital pictures?
We do not need the small pictures to have a high resolution. A picture with 400 pixels by 300 pixels would work fine. We’ve even made Fusion Photographs out of pictures taken with a Camera phone. Any file format that we can open in Adobe Photoshop is acceptable.
    However, we prefer the following:
    JPEG format
Each image file size less than 0.5MB (this is to save time and space)
We currently print the final Fusion Photograph picture at 330 DPI
